Movies.InfiniteCoolness.com progress...
 Ok guys, this is proof that the site's not in mothballs anymore! I've just added the brand new 29th page of the movie section!! This is the first new page I've added to the site in a long time. Next, I'm about half finished working on a brand new TV page, then I'm planning an overhaul of the wallpaper section. So I'm back and the site's getting updated and revived, mostly weekends for the time being. If you're reading this, do me a favor and spread the word to anybody who likes the kind of stuff I feature here on the site. Traffic has shrunk since I was working on the site every day. If you like this site, then most people's "Best of 2009" lists and even the Oscars ignore the movies we all liked the best last year. I'm just back to working on the site and still have a few to watch that might make it on this list, so stay tuned. Here's my list of favorite movies from 2009:
Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs
My absolute favorite movie of 2009!!! And a real mind blower if you had the opportunity to see it in 3-D!!! I've seen this movie over 20 times now and still love it every time. I've recommended it to everyone I know, and now I'm spreading the word to you. Cloudy With A Chance Of Meatballs is an epic, hilarious and all around fantastic movie for everyone! This is the best animated movie since Monsters Inc.! See this movie on my sayso if you haven't already, you can thank me later! Mr. T and a talking monkey named Steve really make this movie great! I give this my highest recommendation!

Zombieland
Zombieland is a cool combination of horror and comedy. The cast and writing are excellent and all the special effects kick ass. A must see and I dare to say a modern classic in the making.

Monsters vs. Aliens
2009 was a fantastic year for animated movies. There are 4 must see animated movies on the list here. Monsters vs. Aliens has excellent voice casting, a cool story and amazing graphics. It's the kind of great cool funny movie you can watch over and over. If you missed it, definitely give it a look.

Terminator Salvation
As a huge fan of the Terminator Series, I was reluctant to give Salvation a chance. I'm glad to see another Terminator movie come out, and this movie was way better than I expected. Let's hope this gives brand new life to the franchise!

Avatar has probably been seen by everyone reading this anyway. I thought it was a great movie and I recommend it even for people who normally don't watch too much scifi.

Moon
Moon is a great indie style small movie that will entertain until the end. Sam Rockwell is pretty much the whole cast with Kevin Spacey's voice as pretty much the only other cast member. They both do great. Give the movie a look, I think you'll like it.

FAQ About Time Travel
An excellent time travel movie!!! It's like a cross between Cheers and Red Dwarf! Friends sit around and ponder time travel until they stumble into it and their lives will never be the same! The cast is brilliant and the story's a cool pretzel of time travel laws. A must see for any scifi fan!

Up
Up is a pretty different turn for Pixar to take. It has an old man as the main character and there are more sad scenes then your usual pixar movie. Still, you can't help but love this wacky tale of an old man floating his house with balloons. Check it out for yourself!

Watchmen
Watchmen got some bad flack from critics. I found it was a great and very close adaptation of the amazing book. As a fan I was concerned about the movie until I saw it. If you like the book, you'll like the movie.

Wolverine
I'm no marvel fan, but they've been making good movies lately. Even though they kind of altered parts of his origin, Wolverine was a really good movie!

Ice Age: Dawn Of The Dinosaurs
I loved Ice Age. The second was good but less so. I thought any more would probably be straight to video. Man, was I wrong. Ice Age III Dawn Of The Dinosaurs is just as good as the first Ice Age Movie! I love the new character they added, lots of screen time for my buddy Sid, and tons of action and adventure. A definite must see!

Star Trek
I'm a Trek fan, but I hate cheesy original Trek. So I was disappointed when they took a new direction with the franchise. Still, I eventually gave the movie a look out of curiosity. I think it's right up there just below Wrath Of Khan and First Contact. Definitely a cool new take on a tired old concept. But I still want my movie set after voyager got home with a mixed cast from all the shows!

Taken
This is a great revenge movie about a guy trying to rescue his kidnapped daughter. But the guy's elite like Arnold in Commando. Mayhem ensues...

The Hangover
I'm an animal for the almighty buzz, so I can relate to some of the craziness in The Hangover. It's a great cast and a funny story. Don't miss this one!

Cirque Du Freak: The Vampire's Assistant
For one of those "kid gets indoctrinated into a supernatural society" movies like Harry Potter or The Lightning Thief, this one's pretty good. I like it enough to look forward to the sequel.

Law Abiding Citizen
Good movie, cool cast. Kind of reminded me a bit of Kevin Bacon's movie Death Sentence.

Carriers
Carriers is a great little end of the world movie. The scenario isn't new but the execution makes the movie cool. Definitely worth a look!

Well, those are my favorites of 2009. If there are any there you haven't seen yet you should give them a shot. I can't make a list like this without warning you away from some really awful movies I wasted my time on. Your opinions may differ, but I absolutely hated these pieces of crap:
Crank II
I loved Crank! It's going up on my very next movie page. But it stands alone, because Crank 2 sucked really bad. Avoid like the plague.
2012
It's not even that the movie was terrible, it just had nothing new from any other disaster movie from the last few years. Just don't bother.
Gamer
Gamer has an interesting premise, but it just comes off as a really bad Running Man ripoff. And I totally didn't buy Dexter as the bad guy.
Pandorum
Wanted to be Event Horizon, ended up being a garbled mess.
Knowing
Started off as an ok scifi thriller, but ended as a watchtower ad or something. Definitely missed the mark.
Inglorious Basterds
Only had a couple of ten minute scenes I liked. Gotta call that a miss.
With my full time job, I haven't seen every movie I've wanted to see for possible inclusion on this year's list. As I catch up, more may be added...
