Movies.InfiniteCoolness.com upgrade progress...
I've been mostly working on the TV Section lately, but now I'm back to getting some work done on movies. I just added the brand new page 28, plus I'm fixing up a lot of stuff here and there. I still have a lot to add, stay tuned for way more coolness!. If you have any comments or suggestions about any part of the site, I'd be happy to hear from you.

[This site is inspired by great mags like Starlog!]

Nightmare On Elm Street, Friday The 13th and Near Dark getting remade
This is all bad news to me, I love those movies and they're not even that old. The assholes in Hollywood need to stop recycling and just make more cool new stuff. I'd rather see 3 new sequels to those great movies. What's next? Movies and their remake coming out the same day? This pisses me off.

[The full color gallery of my vampire art is now up!]

If you like this site, then most people's "Best of 2007" lists and even the Oscars ignore the movies we all liked the best last year. Here's my list of favorite movies from 2007:
Live Free Or Die Hard
This was my favorite movie from all of 2007, and even my favorite of all the great Die Hard movies! There's a great story, kickass villain and more action than you'd even expect from a Die Hard Movie! The addition of Justin Long really adds a new updated feel to the franchise. If Bruce Willis ever gives up I hope they give the franchise to Justin. Don't miss this movie!!!
TMNT
I was a huge fan of the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles cartoon when it was on, but I'm usually wary of stuff being updated [like the horrible Transformers movie]. I was very pleasantly surprised by the coolness of TMNT. The animation is fantastic, this is how all TMNT movies should be done! Now I just hope that the next movie has my favorite character from the old cartoon, Baxter Stockman!
1408
1408 is a Stephen King movie starring John Cusack and Samuel L. Jackson, so it really couldn't go wrong! The movie really drew me in, because after watching so many horror movies I was cynical just like John Cusack's character. So the movie slowly dragged me in as he was. Another great movie from the mind of the great Stephen King!
The Messengers
The Messengers is my favorite jump scare movie of all time! Even when you know it's coming, you can't help but be startled because of how the movie is made. Great story, great cast and lots of scares. All horror fans should see The Messengers!
Ghost Rider
With only a few exceptions I hate marvel comics, but Ghost Rider is one of those exceptions. I have all the old comics and I love the great art of Bob Budiansky so I was hoping this movie would be cool. I wish it was a little closer to the comics, but this movie kicks ass! Nick Cage does a good job as Johnny Blaze and Eva Mendes is super hot. The effects are great too, especially all the hellfire and cleavage! Watch this one or you're losing out.
Planet Terror
Kind of a cross between an old fashioned zombie movie and an oozy mutator like Slither, Planet Terror is an absolute must see! It has tons of violence, gore and super hot women, and those things are important to any really kickass movie! Rose McGowan is so insanely hot in this movie you won't believe it! I just hope Machete is as good, can't wait to see that either!
Mr. Brooks
Just when I thought Kevin Costner would only do golf or sports movies from now on, he pulls this jem out of his acting hat! Mr. Brooks is a really great serial killer movie with a great cast! If you're a fan of Criminal Minds or Dexter, you'll love this movie.
Next
Another great Nick Cage movie in the same year! I'm totally obsessed with time travel, and while he doesn't actually travel, Nick Cage's character can see the future! The writing is great and really shows what you could do with such a power! The ending kind of put me off the first time I saw it, but it perfectly fits the premise of the movie. The rest of the cast is great and so are all the special effects. I really like this movie!
The Simpsons Movie
All hail Emperor Moe! The Simpsons Movie was a long wait but well worth it. I put it in the top 25 percent of great Simpsons episodes, and for a show so great that's damn good! I hope they make a lot more and one better be all about Moe!!!
30 Days Of Night
I was waiting for this movie and it didn't let me down. A pack of gory monstrous vampires invade an Alaskan town during a month long darkness. Great movie for vampire and horror fans!
Meet The Robinsons
Meet The Robinsons is a great funny movie with awesome computer animation, time travel, adventure and a huge cast of zany characters! It just goes to show that if you keep an open mind, you can stumble on to a great movie you might not have watched otherwise. Watch this one, it's fun!
Sicko
I'm an extremely liberal person and agree with a lot Michael Moore has to say. Sicko is scarier than all the other movies on this list, because this stuff is really happening out there. No health care system is perfect, but this movie made me extremely happy to live here in good old Canada! It's an eye opener that everybody should see!
Vacancy
I usually like my horror movie bad guys to be monsters or at least horribly mutated. A lot of movies came out lately with someone in the middle of nowhere being hunted by some human nutcase. Vacancy is the best I've seen of that kind of movie. The cast is cool and the movie has lots of nerve wracking thrills.
Evan Almighty
I'm no Steve Carell fan, but I checked Evan Almighty out anyway and it's a great, funny movie! Bruce Almighty is still better, but you can't help but like this movie too if you give it a chance!
Well, those are my favorites of 2007. If there are any there you haven't seen yet you should give them a shot. 2007 was a pretty lean year for really good movies, but the ones that were good were really good. I can't make a list like this without warning you away from some really awful movies I wasted my time on. Your opinions may differ, but I absolutely hated these pieces of crap:
Halloween
I don't like remakes much but I was intrigued when I heard Rob Zombie was making this new version of Halloween. Michael myers is "Evil In The Shape Of A Man", that's why he kills and can't really die through all the sequels. I figured that Rob Zombie would latch onto the supernatural aspects and make him an unyielding force of destruction. Instead he went completely the other way and made Michael Myers a normal person. He took all of his coolness away! Michael Myers shouldn't have any lines in a Halloween movie, that's pure garbage. Shame on you Rob Zombie.
Transformers
Where do I start with this? I know it was a big hit and lots of people like it, but it was the second worst movie I saw in 2007. I can accept some changes, but this is rediculous. Megatron is a gun, G-U-N. Not some vehicle. And I understand changing out the cars to stay current [and sell crap to the viewer]. But the robots looked like scrap metal held together by a magnet, not the robots they're supposed to be. The robots in the movie are a jumble of garbage. Plus they were mostly the same with no real identity like they have in the cartoon. This movie made me angry and disgusted enough that I had to watch the real Transformers The Movie again just to see some real Transformers. If you like this movie that's great, but I think it's a big pile of shit.
